For sensitive occupants (children, people with respiratory conditions, pets with respiratory sensitivities), we recommend a slightly extended ventilation period before re-entry.

How long does the antimicrobial treatment last after fogging? Commercial-grade antimicrobials provide residual activity for several months in low-contact areas. In high-traffic areas (bathrooms, kitchens) or surfaces that are regularly cleaned, the residual activity is reduced. For holiday rental properties with intensive use and regular cleaning, quarterly treatment is our standard recommendation. For occupied residential spaces, six-monthly treatment is typically sufficient as a maintenance measure.

Will fogging get rid of black mould? Fogging will kill surface-level black mould (Stachybotrys chartarum or other dark mould species) on non-porous surfaces. If black mould has penetrated plasterboard or other porous materials — which is common when it has been established for more than a few weeks — fogging is not sufficient. Can I have the property fogged before I sell it? Fogging before a sale is a reasonable preventive measure, but it does not address structural mould if present — and it does not constitute professional mould remediation for disclosure purposes.
